The 99.94 Eric Hollies Medal Voting System

Eric Hollies MedalAfter accepting counsel the 99.94 Cricketer of the Season scoring system is now decided.

The three most influential players on both sides will receive points.

Wins are rewarded with extra points while draws, ties and washouts are graded higher than losses and the traditional 3-2-1 equation has been scrapped for a 5-4-3 ratio. Additionally, a Test is worth two and a half ODIs while two T20s is equivalent to a single ODI. Confused? Perhaps the naked numerals below will help.

TEST

Win:   1000 – 800 – 600

Draw:  800 – 640 – 480

Loss:   600 – 480 – 360

ODI

Win:   400 – 320 – 240

Draw:  320 – 256 – 192

Loss:   240 – 192 – 144

T20

Win:    200 – 160 – 120

Draw:  160 – 128 – 96

Loss:   120 – 96 – 72

All three teams that competed during the summer will be judged independently and every player regardless of nationality is eligible for the honour and prestige of winning the inaugural 99.94 Eric Hollies Medal.

Soon: A brief retrospective and the judges’ points from the 2008 Trans-Tasman Trophy.
